‘A Beautiful Revolution’ under scrutiny

ifilm critically examines the recently aired series – part 4.

As the finale of ifilm series ‘A Beautiful Revolution’ was recently aired, we are providing our audiences with an analytic account of the events in the story.

In the previous article, we talked of the symbolism depicted in the series with ‘Beautiful’ representing the territory (Iran) and Able and Cane, the sons of Adam, respectively represented by Hamed and Jaber.

Jaber’s lighter

Across the movie, or better say, all the way through, Jaber keeps deceiving others under the guise of a good personality that hides his true evil self.

However, the lighter that is highlighted and forefronted on the opening curtains, is a symbol of Jaber’s past and present, both of which sharing a notion.

In a few sequences of Jaber’s past and present, the lighter is in his hand and that gives you the sense that he is the same old Jaber; actually the Cane with no change. That is indicative of the power of his deeds as well.

Wind blow drifts Jaber away

In a sequence of the film, when Jaber’s plot in distorting historical facts is uncovered for Hamed, a news stand is shown. On all the front pages of the newspapers, there is a picture and title of Jaber and his memories.

As Hamed is watching them, suddenly a gush of wind blows and takes some of the papers away. That gives the audience the feeling that Jaber’s hurricane, as well as his hue and cry, is dying away.
